## 🪟 About Windows 8.0
|
||
|
||
Windows 8.0, released in 2012, introduced several significant features like:
|
||
|
||
- Metro UI / Start Screen
|
||
- UWP (Universal Windows Platform)
|
||
- UEFI Class 3 support
|
||
- Ribbon UI in Explorer
|
||
|
||
Though it received criticism, some prefer Windows 8.0 over 8.1 due to its patchability, less telemetry, and UEFI Class 3 support. A community effort has helped maintain and enhance its functionality.
